Does any Member have any tips for cleaning up a faint and atrociously badly copied exploded view diagram from a Denon Cassette Deck Service Manual please?
It's the UDR–F07 Cassette Deck from from a D–F07 Denon Component Hi–Fi system that's making noises of disintegrating plastics from the works somewhere, and the exploded view in the only pdf I can find is so atrociously badly copied that its impossible to make out details on it! It's obvious that atrociously bad scan was taken from a paper original but I've not been able to find a paper original anywhere, or I would have bought one! Chris Williams

All you can do is read it into Gimp (or another image editor) and try adjusting the brightness and contrast. There are sharpening filters in there but they may not help much.

Could you track down a manual for a different model that uses the same deck?

The old adage 'junk in = junk out' applies, basically, you can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear, no matter how good your tools.
I've just been down the same path with stuff from an unrelated hobby. |

I don’t know if Micks post #3 is the same manual but hifiengine have a complete manual for the D-F07 and appears quite readable.

I can't get anything from HiFi Engine I'm afraid, their automated system of Judge, Jury and Executioner all in one barred me after only downloading one manual!

Really? I regularly download stuff from HiFi Engine and it has never complained.
