Hi Folks

Got hold of this battery / mains portable and apart from the frequency changer being duff, the Cheney type hinges do not keep the lid in the upright position so one would assume the hinges would have had some kind of spring tensioner to keep the lid stable when the set is in use. The hinges have been riveted into the wooden case.

Has anyone come across this problem if so how did they solve it

Regards

Ken
