Default B80C5000-3300 or B80C5000-3300A ?

Any one know what significance of the A in the number of this bridge rectifier from c1980 ? Also what the power ratings of the device's are?
Its for a Beomaster 1900.

If this is main HT rectifier there should be plenty of easy to find replacements. What ever is used in other makes should suffice. It is rated at 5A mp Max 500Volts (3.3A 250V nominal)

It for the 31v+ and 31V- supply in a transistor amp + tuner. The tuner has pre set channels and has "touch" channel change. Rectifier fits in a clip / heat sink so should be same size and shape.

John chances are it's just a minor production change or a plot to worry repairers into buying the legit spare - at inflated cost.

However if it's a help to you here are the dimensions of the NOT 'A' version.
length 32mm, height of main body 16mm, standoffs 1mm, thickness 5.6mm,
lead spacing: -ve pin to ac=7.5mm, ac pin to ac pin=7.5mm, ac pin to +ve pin=10mm 7 the leads as supplied were 16mm long 1.3mm dia.

Hope this helps, Nick

Hi Nick, the plot thickens! The Not A version I have here and to be replaced measures 40mm x 20mm x 10mm no stand offs, but with solder tags, also printed on it 250 A2 which I think is 250v 2A (With heat sink?) I may have to contact Little Diode to see if they can help. I understand there is a slightly improved version.
