A 'tangle' is a term I tend to use exclusively for the 'rats nest' of wiring under the chassis of Kolster-Brandes radios - apologies to Mike (crackle) !

I'm getting superb reception of Radio Caroline here on 648kHz on both of my two large Grundigs. What better to hear it on!
P.S. Hacker fans need not reply....

Re: Listening to the radio in these Covid times.
An annoying (seemingly Covid-19 related issue) is that of people 'working remotely' and being interviewed 'live' at length on 'Talk' and 'News' programmes e.g. R4's 'Today'. I usually listen to R4's 'Today' programme first thing in the morning via FM on a Roberts R900 in the kitchen - a set which offers consistently good melodious reception and reproduction.
However - these 'dial-in' pundits, politicians and other captains of industry seem to oft broadcast: 'pings' 'dings' 'bells' 'buzzers' ...... and in some instances - hum! The latter [initially] really got me going ..... until I realised it was 'broadcast' not 'local' !!!!

Re: Listening to the radio in these Covid times.
Listen to R4 on MW. Less news bulletins If you are unable to listen to MW (too far from nearest relay) just stick it in FM, only seems to be LW and DAB that have lots of “news” on.
