Help identifying specialised croc.clips
What on earth were these midget croc clips used for?
'LICO' is stamped into one side, there is a threaded post onto which a knurled terminal can secure quite small wires, the rear edges of the clip are fully rolled either for strength or for pins/connectors to be inserted, and the extensions at the rear which give extra leverage are not part of the rest of the clip; they are each secured by a miniature purpose made split pin. The springs are very strong and with such little leverage they do not open easily. Dave |

Re: Help identifying specialised croc.clips
Just tried with drill bits- 2mm is a loose fit, and 2.5mm is too large.
Some of the nickel plating has lifted near to the teeth, so this might be acid related. They are real precision, the best out of the two will trap a human hair in it's teeth. Dave |

Re: Help identifying specialised croc.clips
Could they be connectors for some kind of ancient door bell battery, such as a Leclanché cell?
Just a thought. Tony |

Re: Help identifying specialised croc.clips
The knurled connectors certainly give the impression of low error voltage monitoring. The 'web doesn't seem to know anything about LICO. Thankyou for your inputs.
