Hmv 1609 - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Hello!

New to the forum and to Scotland! We have recently inherited an old HMV 1609 and am looking to get it serviced and working. The record portion works but the speakers are shot and because of the speaker issues we cannot tell if the radio works.

Located in Angus and looking for anyone who can help get this serviced.

Looking forward to hearing from someone who can get this glorious machine up and running!

I'm based in London, but go all over the UK repairing radiograms and hifi. If you get stuck, I can come to you.

Or you can ship it to me for me to repair in my workshop.

You do realise that the record player side is for 78's only.

I will send you a PM.
