Help recognizing this Grundig radio chassis
Hi all,
I would like to ask for your help with this Grundig radio chassis. I think this is a custom cabinet. The radio has its controls written in English. It says "multi sonic" and has an "echo" control. 6 push buttons and 4 equalizer wheels. Inside of the cabinet I can see that the radio has no output stage and there is an spare chassis what it sems to be the power amp. I can't recognize it and I doubt if it is a Grundig power chassis. What I would like to know is if any of you recognize the model number to look for info, as I would like to know if the amp is a push pull or single, and if it is Grundig. Sorry for the bad pictures. Thanks a lot in advance! |

Re: Help recognizing this Grundig radio chassis
Could this be the separate amplifier ?:
https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/grundi..._fuer_hal.html The schematic for that: https://nvhrbiblio.nl/schema/Grundig_7710.pdf EDIT: Installation overview for an earlier reverb (echo) amplifier that's more less the same type as shown in the above links, it's in German but shows the general layout etc...magazine page 242: https://www.americanradiohistory.com...ig-1961-07.pdf Lawrence. Re: Help recognizing this Grundig radio chassis
In about 1956, our next door neighbour bought ( ca £100 then! ) Grundig radiogram. The sound quality turned me on to hifi. ( I had previously only heard late 1930's sets )
I remember it had a single ended power amp using an EL34 o/p valve I think the power was quoted as 9w. There were tweeter units pointing sideways in the ends of the cabinet.
