I've been intending arranging one of my trips south to the family near Huddersfield so I could nip over the Pennines to one of these, but it's too late now to change plans for that weekend. I used to enjoy George's G-QRP doo's rather a lot and RADARS were a big part of that.

Default 2025 Rochdale rally

Did anyone go to the Rochdale rally this year?

We missed it because we wrongly assumed it would be on a Sunday but unusually it was on Saturday.

We were wondering how good it was compared to some of the other rallies, say Blackpool or Durham.

I went to the Rochdale rally, it is a smaller affair then Blackpool, but I also tend to think that Blackpool is mainly clubs and society stalls.

The entrance free was only £3 and there was parking available free so that was good. It is also close enough for me to get there go around and leave in under 3 hours!

I did manage to buy a few things, not much. A Home Made Codar AT5 (no PSU) for £5. Small 6 metre ATU and a Pye tulip microphone that will probably end up on my own version of the AT5.

I hope it continues.
