Homebrew Loaded HF Vertical
I am hoping for some assistance, I was in the process of building a Portable HF Vertical Aerial, the plans of which are published in the RSGB Book, HF Antennas for Every One, by G1MFG, I have lost my copy of the book and I can't get a replacement for some time.
I need to know the coil winding details, and the length of the two poles, I recall them possibly being 8 ft 3 in. Briefly the antenna consists of two Aluminium poles and a center loading coil, there are two versions of which, that are interchangeable for different bands, and the guide wires act as Radials. Has anyone got a copy of the book and can let me have the details. I do not know what page it is on, I only know it is towards the back of the book. Hoping someone can help. Ken G6HZG.

Re: Homebrew Loaded HF Vertical
That design is shown in the mid 1970s RSGB "Radio Communication Handbook".
Two 8-foot-3 sections with a loading-coil on the ??plexiglass?? rod used to link the sections. PM me and I can send you some phonecam photos of the relevant pages tomorrow. |
