Default "Gold-bonded" signal diodes: modern equivalents?

In the past I've used gold-bonded Germanium diodes in things like noise-limiters and speech-clippers. OA47 were the usual ones.

What's the modern equivalent? I need something that turns on at atound 0.1 - 0.2 volts and has a high back-resistance. They're for up-to-3KHz communications-grade audio-frequency service so switching speed is not an issue!

Schottky diodes?

I tend to use the 1N5711 or HP 5082 series diodes. They still take about 0.2V to get into conduction, perhaps not quite as low as the germanium types but close.

Probably hard to beat the OA47 for the combination of low forward voltage drop and the higher forward current rating. So it depends on the application, if the Schottky is better or not.The piv rating of an OA47 is fairly low, and some of the Schottky's much higher, the 1N5711 is 70v.
