Default 'Southern' OB Unit at Newark AEC Rally 2015

Last year, 'Southern' (the restored Outside Broadcast Unit) was finally back on the events scene at the AEC Vehicle Rally. For those that know the story, this has been a nightmare saga beginning three years ago. This time last year we proved that we could do this rally and come home without a disaster! This year we're there again. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and there will be no repeat of 2012's incident!

'Southern' will be on show on both days of the show (Sat 23rd and Sun 24th) at the Newark Showground just off of the A1.

We will be running our normal display of the oldest fully operational colour outside broadcast unit in the world (I don't think that claim can be countered!). On show will be two operational MkVII colour cameras and all the monitors, control gear, sound equipment and everything else that makes an Outside Broadcast unit work.

It would be good to welcome any forum members and we will be pleased to show you around

Best regards,

Paul M

Unfortunately due to how things have worked out, we won't be there today. Yesterday (Saturday) went very well. The truck is at the showground still but we're not there!

Sorry.

Best regards,
