Default Philips n7300 r2r

I know there are mixed views on here as the the performance of this machine, and its smaller 7" reel sibling, mainly around the rather good electronics being compromised by its plastic frame build.
However when set up, to me it's a smooth sounding deck and can take 10" NABs. Indeed, I forward bought new 10" blank tape for useon this some years back.
Having imported a new belt from Germany, I now can't seem to trace any DC to the motors through its rather packed boards. I'd like to find a Member who knows this generation of Philips machines and who would take a look at it for me later this year. Anyone out there?
