Are the bars on an AD65 metal chromed or are they Bakelite finished with chrome. I would like to make the brown bars chrome on this broken heap.

Re: Black Ekco AD65 chrome? bars
Hi John
There's a product called .Bare-metal' - its an ultra-thin metal foil that is applied like gold leaf and will follow any curvature and not hide fine detail. Its in the Hobby's Annual catalogue and probably the 'chrome' or the 'ultra-bright chrome' would suit your needs. There's also a booklet explaining how to use the stuff. It is said to be ideal for plastics. I'll do a web search for any further details and get back to you if I find anthing more. -Tony |
