PSU and audio output for a comms receiver ?

The tag strip numbers = R1155 receiver's Jones plug connection numbers.

R1155:

3 = LT+...Chassis pic..6.3v +
4 = LT - & Earth...Ditto..Earth
8 = HT-...Ditto..-30v
5 = HT+...Ditto..HT+
6 = Phones...Ditto..Audio

The power transformer is a lot bigger than needed considering the output transformer.

Considering Lawrence's interpretation of the tag numbering, it may well be a homebrew lump to power and add a speaker amp to an 1155.

Interesting priorities- an empty tag has been left either side of the HT for clearance, yet the connection strip has been left exposed on the outside of the chassis!

I've got an R1155 with a somewhat rickety PSU [tatty leads going out to Jones plugs] that may be about the same size. It's fully enclosed but I suspect that overall the, definitely home-brew, box is about the same dimensions so it's TR might well be equally generous. The negative bias line might be a clue to the 1155 "floating" chassis perhaps? You used what you could salvage back in those more utilitarian days and what you had was very likely to be more than adequate!
