I bought one last week, mainly for the size which would fit nicely over the tip of some bamboo canes in the garden to stop anyone accidentally impaling themselves on them. There's a great amount of very useful small sizes, - I don't think I shall ever need to buy any more! Kind regards Dave |

I saw those in Lidl last week, I also saw something else in the same bin, which prompted me to take a photo.
These Parkside Quick Wiring Kits. They're Scotchlok clones with labelling that would suggest to the uninitiated, that they were suitable for mains, even heaven forfend, fixed house-wiring. They have been the subject to a recall https://www.electricalsafetyfirst.or...ck-wiring-kit/ but Lidl keeps offering them, I've posted about it on a previous occasion, perhaps in this forum.

Aaaaarggh. Bodgelocks.
I got a nice set of heatshrink sleeving from CPC in their bargain corner that turned out to be adhesive lined. Used some just a couple of days ago to repair a spliced joint (in a low voltage circuit) that had ceased to exist after a water leak. One thing to be aware of with any heatshrink, is the shrink ratio. Cheaper stuff is often 2:1 wher pricier is 3:1. Not neccesarily a problem, but needs to be thought about. |
