Default McMichael 'DIMIC 3'

Hi I have looked under McMichael in the top right hand side for circuit info but I am not sure what to look for!!
I dont have a model number, the only thing that is on the radio that may be of some use is McMichael, Dimic 3. Any info gentlemen please?

Thank you very much.
Cheers.
Geoff.

Where are you getting all these McMichaels from?! I've never come across a DIMIC 3 but it sounds like an early set... Oh how jealous I am!!

Hi goodness me, what a history the company was/is so much bigger than I ever imagined.Thank you very much.
Josh where did I get the sets, well the 137 was on an ash box ( waste bin.) and I rescued it in about 1966, I didnt know what it was at the time. The 135 I was told about when picking up some TV spares. a couple of months ago. The DIMIC 3 should be arriving in a week or so and subject to a proper long term restoration via Switzerland.
Any one know of a circuit, perhaps I should wait until I have more info.
Thank you all.
Geoff.

Hi Geoff, It looks like you've got a lovely find! From my experience very few early McMichaels have survived (much the same as any early sets). That website was set up by the excellent David Cochrane who worked for McMichael and knows more about these sets than what I'll ever know! Josh.

Four other Screened Dimic Threes have survived as far as I know, plus one Dimic Three and one Mains version. I think I might have a circuit diagram and some notes - I'll have to check when I get back to the office.

Josh
A very nice McMichael on ebay the other day - seemed to sell quite resonably too.

Hi everyone, this is an up date the good news is that the set was delivered today, the bad news is that I was out and the set was left on the doorstep, the even worse news is that it has been smashed to pieces. Pity, now it really will need restoring, any one any good at jigsaw puzzles!!!
Lots of questions to follow I think.
Cheers.
Geoff.
