Which Roberts Radios Had Short Wave?
Hi all,
Can anyone give me a list of the model numbers of the Roberts units which came with SW, before the current models. I'm on the look out for one or two with SW and obviously looking on ebay, but it would help to have the model numbers to save opening up every listing. Many thanks as usual, Richard. |

Re: Which Roberts Radios Had Short Wave?
Hi Richard,
Valve models P4D and P5A (1946), RP4 and RMB (1951): then I think the only transistor ones are the R500 (1963), R707 (1969) and R727 (1989), assuming you're not interested in imported sets. Paul |

Re: Which Roberts Radios Had Short Wave?
It has to be said there's not a great deal of broadcast output to listen to on SW at the moment. We're at the bottom of the sunspot cycle which means propagation is poor, and more and more broadcasters are axing SW broadcasts (BBC World Service left SW in Europe a couple of months ago).
