Blaupunkt SQR88 Memphis Display Dim
The display is dim on my car stereo, looks like the display backlight has blown? How can I fix it? Thanks Mike.

No idea, but there's a just about legible schematic available from Elektrotanya which shows various filament and LED light sources.
Good luck!

Re: Blaupunkt SQR88 Memphis Display Dim
Hello Mike,
I had the same problem on a similar Blaupunkt car radio. I found out that the LED backlight was fully functional but the LCD kept "black in black". Removed it and cleaned the conductor rubber stripes with little success. Whilst scratching my head I realized that on ebay the same model was offered, new in the box for 40 Euros. No question, the NOS radio is in my "Magic Bus" now and the defective one is on the "To do - some day"-pile. Regards, Joe |
