Default Yaesu FT857D switch ON problem

When I switched on this morning the radio gave a series of beeps and it came on to 7MHz with all settings and memories reset.
This together with the incident just under 2 weeks ago when it would not switch off correctly, is making me wonder if something is developing or failing in the radio.

Has anybody else experienced these problems.
thanks

Mike
