Default Sony ICF1200.

Hi recently found an old Sony icf1200 radio which belonged to a relative.
We know it was working when packed away approx 15 years ago.
Put batteries in ( hatch very clean ) and it tunes in to stations but NO sound output, also tried on mains as well and still NO sound, any ideas please.?

Dirty contacts on the headphone socket? Try plugging and unplugging some headphones a few times.
