Repairing or replacing a broken tagboard on a DAC90A
The board in question being that which holds the resistors, and to which the dropper taps are screwed. I was probably over-zealous when refitting said dropper after cleaning contacts, etc, overtightening the nuts & bolts in my determination to ensure good, low-resistance connections, with the inevitable result that the end of the paxolin panel fractured. Ideally of course, I would fit a replacement panel, but as I'm unlikely to find one of the right size & shape, what would be the 'next best thing' to do? My first thought is to cut and drill a suitable strip of SRBP to fit over the damaged end, bolting it behind the damaged original, and this time not overtightening the nuts, but another idea I had was to make a metal bracket to support the dropper's top end, using the screws (bolts?) purely as terminals. Good idea or not? Obviously heat generated by the dropper would then have a path to the upper part of the chassis, which it doesn't at present.

This was a simple fix if the break is in a similar place, look through the photos.

Whilst the thread in your link refers to a DAC90 not a 90A, Frank, I can possibly repair the paxolin panel along similar lines. The part with the tags and resistors on is 100% OK, it's simply the end to which the dropper is screwed which has fractured.
