Brief job description? Maybe a suggestion of working environment/location/conditions of service/rate? Steve.

Re: Job Vacancy
This is meant light-heartedly,
If I do that no-one will answer, low wages, overcrowded, noisy, in demand all day. Think I will shut up. |

Re: Job Vacancy
Sounds like it would suit me!..see you soon!
Also I have noticed there is a big tree around the back .Absolutely ideal if you wish to hang yourself after a bad day! (courtesy of Google Earth). Large bridges not required!! Steve.

Re: Job Vacancy
Great to see all the comments from the retired engineers who 'just' made it!
I found the 80's profitable with vcr repairs but it all changed in the 90's. I used to love purchasing a pile of ex rental thorn gear and turning it into cash...Happy days. I got out and emigrated to Australis and went into IT where I found that Microsoft, Netware and now VMware & Cisco certifications were revered even if held by youngsters that did it all online. I still tell people that a good component level engineer is worth 2 of these certified types but it falls on deaf ears because technology has overtaken us all and they don't even know what I'm talking about. As for going insane, yes I am, I have 12 vintage JVC vcr's I have to keep at work as my Wife won't entertain the idea of having them at home! Oh I wish I could get Ferguson stuff here! Still, we know what we mean don't we? |
