I have just got a little transformer made by Viceroy input 200/250 volts output 8 or 12 volts no indication of amps or wattage. Has anyone heard of this manufacturer? Also anyone know its age? Its in good condition I havnt got any plans for using it I just want to find a bit about it then it will go in my box of bits

Re: Viceroy transformer
My guess is that if it is in a bakelite or metal housing, it is a mains transformer for a doorbell. Possibly good for up to 200 milliamps intermittent load. Tony

Re: Viceroy transformer
Thanks boxdoctor.
I think I'll try carefully loading it to about 200 milliamps and see what happens. I have a collection of 12 volt bulbs so should be able to cobble something together. |
