What to do with a new old clock
Hello all
I was given a nice old clock for my birthday at the weekend. It came without a key to wind it, but I believe you can get universal/ multi types that will do the job. I was wondering if there's anything I should or shouldn't be doing though. I know all about not powering up old radios and the reasons why, and wondered if there are any similar rules with old clocks? I don't plan to become a clock fanatic - I really just want to give this one a polish, wind it up and hang it up. Martin

Re: What to do with a new old clock
If it uses a key, presumably this isn't an electric clock?
I'm afraid mechanical clocks are off topic here. |

Re: What to do with a new old clock
Sorry, yes it is mechanical.
What a shame - I know that there's other avenues to get this sort of info, but I have more confidence in the responses I get here. That said, I understand the rules so I will look elsewhere.

Re: What to do with a new old clock
There is a clock section in ‘another place’. Not very busy but there are some recent posts in the section.
