An interesting clutch, the General Electric TV in lot 1414 is a very unusual sight so far from home. The HMV on the right of lot 1405 would be an oddity anywhere, a late '30s styled set with FM - I think it must have had a chassis transplant.

I have a nasty feeling that a lot of this stuff won't sell.

Lotting things up may make some sense, but two radiograms?!

Does any one know the auction results ?
Did any one here buy anything ?
I was interested in the television`s but the very long drive to Eastbourne put me off.

Anyone here buy the 1929 Zenith and homemade radio, I am local and did place a bid but not having seen it I set my limit too low.

It all seems to have done, but at car boot sale prices - typically four for £20.00.

Not surprising, given the overall generally shabby condition and lack of appeal of the lots.

I dare say that if - prior to bidding - anyone took the trouble to look at the valve line-up of some of the radios and took a gamble on the valves being present, there might have been some bargains. Most of the radios would be worth more for bits than as a whole - valves, speakers, knobs, dials, backs, mains and output transformers. Hardly worth the bother.
