Default Digital Audio Interface Receiver - CS8412-CS

I'm looking to source a replacement CS8412-CS as the existing one has lost a leg with no copper remaining on the body to reconnect!

I am, however, confused by the markings on this?

What does GYATKG9606 mean and do I need an exact match for a replacement? I've seen others for sale but with different letter and number combinations?

And where would be a reliable source to purchase from?

Datecode? Week 6 of 1996 perhaps? The rest might be plant, revision, and mask serials.

One has to ask how it lost that leg? If there is but the weeniest bit of some conductor left in the hole a bit of conductive paint like used for heated windscreens may connect enough to make it work. Drop a bit in the hole and poke a wire in sort of thing.

Hi little diode have them at £25.00 or china for £4.00 on ebay but maybe not genuine ? but not everything from china is fake
mick If you are careful it maybe poss to solder a THIN wire to the stump of the leg i have done this in the passed with good outcome.

I believe the CS8412-CS pin compatible replacement/upgrade was CS8414-CS and these may be more readily available

There just the faintest hint of some remaining metal on the body of this component:-

What do people think - repairable or just replace?

Can I use a scalpel to expose a bit more metal?

Don't know if these components are sealed in any way so not sure how far I can go?
