Default Bush TR130 switch problems

Hi. Having got my transistor radio working, I notice that the switch banks on these radios tend to work loose from side to side causing the buttons to jam. The screws that hold the switch units to chassis are tightly held in place. Wonder if the manufacturers did some modifications to these radios to stop this fault?
