French UNIC 801 set - Equivalent valves?
I've recently acquired this c.1937 French bakelite model which uses the valve line-up given in the first column. Could someone confirm for me that the valves I've listed in the second column could be used as suitable equivalents please?
V1 - 6A8 = X63 V2 - 6K7 = KTW63 V3 - 6Q7 = DH63 V4 - 6F6 = KT63 V5 - 5Y3 = U50 Many thanks! |

Those should be OK. There are a number of near equivalents which will just plug in - 6V6 for the 6F6, EF39 for the 6K7, EBC33 for the 6Q7 etc. These are bog standard octal superhet valves.

Thanks Paul, thought they would be alright. I just happen to have a full set of the valves in the second column already that's all. Much appreciated!
