Default Dansette Bermuda 1966 Stereo (Mark 2) stylus help.

Hi. A friend got this for me in a jumble sale. I'm not sure what stylus to get for it. Would you have any recommendations?

Thanks.

First of all you need to know what cartridge is fitted and whether the cartridge is actually still working (most of them are not) before spending out on a stylus - post a picture or get the part number off the cartridge in the pickup head.

The Dansette "Bermuda" Mk2 is not a stereo record player. Do you mean the cartridge in it is a stereo-compatible type? It is likely to be a BSR cartridge, but we will need a pic or its type number.

Why do you think it needs a new stylus anyway?

Hi
The cartridge looks like a BSR X5M, which is correct for your Bermuda Mk2.
This is a stereo compatible cartridge.
The stylus you need is the ST12, which has a dual LP/ Stereo tip. However, should you want to play 78rpm records, there is the option of a 78/LPStereo dual stylus.

ST15 if you have no 78rpm discs. It has two tips for vinyl.
