BVWS Online Auction - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

The BVWS are holding an online auction starting on the 22nd January.

This is being organised by our auction agent Mike Barker in an attempt to clear some room in the storage unit, and to give members access to some new bits to enjoy and play with.

There will be lots of goodies and bargains!

Only BVWS members who are up to date with their membership will be able to participate.

I need membership subscriptions to be in by Tuesday morning 19th January to enable me to get the main database up to date, as a link and password to the auction will be sent out by email on Wednesday evening.

If your membership is not current, you will not get an invitation to participate.

Please do not message me through this forum but through the BVWS email address for memberships.

Does that mean that all up-to-date members will receive an invitation?

Sounds like a great idea as it will allow all the far flung members to participare and hopefully get some nice goodies.
However, will it offer a service to send goods on to the winning bidders (for a fee of course)

The auction invitation emails are now being sent, and all paid-up members should receive their email this evening. If you don't receive your email please contact the membership secretary from tomorrow.

The URL and password are confidential to members only and must not be shared.

Please read the email carefully as it contains all the necessary details and rules etc. Any questions regarding the auction should be sent to Mike using the "Get in touch" button on the online auction page.

Note however that Mike cannot provide detailed information about the condition of specific lots. You are bidding on the items as shown in the photos and any accompanying descriptions.

The auction started this morning and runs until the evening of Friday 29th (one minute spacing for lot end times).

Any BVWS members who haven't had their invitation should contact Dave Church (membership secretary), and anyone with problems accessing the auction or questions about it should contact Mike Barker (auction agent).
