Given that making new magic eyes is unlikely, it would be better if NOS ones were not gobbled up by those wanting bling with their audio.

It needs to cross a critical number - either discourage people who want bling with their audio from gobbling up the NOS ones, or encourage them massively so the demand goes up and remanufacturing starts.

Even at £50 each, cost of a new-manufacture magic eye would still be less than half a tank of fuel in the car.
