Default Hallicrafters SX-28 Power Transformer Rewind

Does anyone know of someone in the UK who can rewind the failed power transformer (T7) from my Hallicrafters SX-28 receiver (1943 vintage). Really sad right now as restoration of this wonderful set was nearing completion when it suddenly failed
I guess you can't blame it though, after 76 years service; including being in the control tower at a WW2 RAF base from 1943...

Two Forum members offer rewinding services, Mike Barker (aka murphymad) and Ed Dinning (Ed_Dinning).
Send a PM via the forum if neither contact you sooner.

Many SX28's had a mains transformer with a 120VAC primary winding. If that's the case for the OP's set it might be worth rewinding it for 240VAC or dual 120/240V.

Thanks to everyone for your helpful replies. Ed Dinning responded and has just completed the rewind job to a high standard using high quality wire. All voltages are good and the mains voltage selector switch has been wired as original. Thanks again Ed, another SX-28 lives on, here's to it's next 76 years of operation! Cheers, Alan.
