Default Scale Lamp bulbs Philips

Hi. Does anyone know any sources of supply of tubular scale lamp bulbs type 8097, which I was once informed as being 19volts @0.097amps. These are used in Philips radios, such as model 141U?
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
Mike

Mike, The best replacement for the Philips 8097 lamp is a 24V 2.8W MES panel lamp. These were used in the instruments of commercial vehicles until fairly recently, and can either be obtained from a motor factor, or from Farnell/RS. These have spherical bulbs, but fit perfectly; the Farnell reference is 328-388.

In my 141U, one of these lamps stabilises at around 20V, does not overrun during warmup, and gives the right level of illumination - important on this rather pretty set.

Regards, Leon.

Hi Leon. Many thanks for your reply. I am lucky that I can visit the trade counters at both RS & Farnell here in Leeds. I might try and get some of these bulbs for my stock.
Regards
Mike
