Default Re: Bush VHF81 Heat Deflector

This radio performs every bit as well as everyone says and as it will be in fairly regular use I thought I’d complete the job by replacing the Presspahn heat shield with genuine Presspahn board. I used the Grade K insulation board 0.5mm.

The radio itself was a simple ‘restoration’, I needed to replace the bulb holders (seems to be a common corrosion problem) and the bulbs, I used 6v 150mA ones from eBay £3.99 for 10. Excessive hum was traced to V3 UCH81 and the usual caps were changed.
