However please keep in mind that not all U.S. mfgr's. used the same color code.
I learned that the hard way 50+ years back.

I ran across several U.S. made transformers using red/blk on one primary wire and slate for the other, and other oddball combinations.

Ok Frank, I realised it is just a "guide" as I was researching a transformer and I think it was just the ht and ct that corresponded.
One of those items I downloaded a few years back to add to my pdf folder of information I might find useful one day. Currently around 2Gb now!

Quite a few Bernard Babani publications are circulation on internet, but of course they're copyright, and Bernard Babani Ltd is still in business:

Their website is still live and many of their books are still in print and available, but most of the ones in the public domain (for example of the WRH Archive), have long since been out of print. The Bernard Babani Publishing website hasn't been updated since 2017, but here's a clip from it, about the company's history:

The website still lists sixteen electronics books and many other titles.

The most recent book as far as I can tell is BP775, 'Online Security for the Older Generation'.

That implies that in all, since 1942 Babani's have published 775 books! They published many of Sir Clive Sinclair's books in late 1950s and into the early 1960s. Bernard Babani was an agent for the technical writer F.G. Rayer. Bernard Baruch Babani was born in May 1913, and died aged just 62 in October 1975. What a remarkable man he was, and what a remarkable little company, still in existence after 81 years. Long may it continue.

That's a very interesting overall view of Babani Publishing.
I know my bookshelves have a fair number of their publications on them.

When I first became interested in electronics in the '50's these books were always a source of information when constructing almost any radio or audio related item.
