Mods please move if this is not the right section.
Following on from the offer of PW and PE blueprints https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=168869 Together with another offer of PW mags with blueprints plus some we already had Bobger and I have decided to scan the blueprints to pdf to preserve them and make them available. Bobger is scanning at A3 so most blueprints are scanned in 2 parts, I am then stitching them together in photoshop and saving to pdf again. To print full size you will need an A2 printer! but of course you can view and print them at any size you want or stitch together 4 A4 prints. Attached is the first scan we used as a test. As we scan others we will post them here and also send them to the Worldradiohistory web site. Peter and Bob |

Hi!
That example blueprint scan is perfect! Will you be providing the P.W. and P.E. scans that were published in blue one side/orange the other side in the original colours? Chris Williams

Yes, well done to you both, a great job! I’m certainly looking forward to others.
Usually missing when the mags are bought secondhand so be great to finally see the circuits so tantalisingly described in the mags! Oddly enough the “Citizen” was later published in the book “Practical Wireless Circuits”, somewhat redrawn as circuit 21. The first superhet I built in 1970. Cheers chaps. Peter |

Bob is scanning faster than I can keep up.
Anyway the next installment is attached. The file convention we are using is First two letters - the magazine, then the date in year_month format, then either nothing if single sided, or A or B to indicate the the side if double sided, then the title. If sorted in Explorer by file name it should group by magazine then date. The title allows searching for that elusive project. Peter and Bob |

I've got at least a dozen more, all of valve equipment from 1930s to 1960s. I'd be happy to let you have them to scan as long as I get them back when you have finished, I'll look them out over the next few days and make a list of what I have.

Peter, Bob,
Is it only the blueprints you are interested in? I have also got a number of PW data sheets, fault finding sheets, Audio Reference Charts, etc, etc. from the 60s and 70s. Then there are the 'pocket guides' and 'datacards'. The Audio Guide might be useful if nothing else as it has pickup cartridge info on it. PM me an address if you want them, Alan

Thanks Alan, I will PM you.
I have a feeling we may have opened pandoras box here. we are certainly interested in scanning and posting data sheets fault finding guides etc. We have been discussing the pocket guides, Bob has scanned the following pocket guides April 65 Nov 95 - Radio data and formulae December 65 - Aerial data. The problem is that they are scanned 2 pages at a time, ie end covers, pages 1&2 etc. I am going to try and re-assemble them one booklet page to the pdf page so they can be printed using the booklet option available on most printers to fully recreate the booklet. So in short, if successful we will be posting the pocket guides as well. Peter |

I'll see what I have among my extensive PW collection, and scan any I have that haven't already been done. They won't, however, be stitched together. I'll leave others to do that.

Takes me back to the days of very little pocket money and wistfully wishing i could build some of these. |

Reference the beers, the sentiments are much appreciated but there's no need, we're having fun.
