Diode identification
I just got a mixed lot of parts which I've gone through categorising. Unfortunately I'm stuck on a diode. Can anyone shed any light on this one?
Glass package. Stripes are violet, grey, violet, green. This came in a large lot of CV marked parts so this may or may not be of help. Any help appreciated. Vf is 0.8v approx so definitely silicon. Last edited by MrBungle; 19th Apr 2017 at 2:07 pm. |

Re: Diode identification
What about the CV7875 silicon avalanche diode?
https://www.silicon-ark.co.uk/cv7875-alanche-diode Looks like a reasonable match... Chris

Re: Diode identification
Yeah looks about right actually. I'll see if they blow up if I reverse bias hard enough - that should answer that Thanks - appreciated.
Incidentally, I just noticed this bag of stuff has an almost complete set of semiconductors in it to build the PW Purbeck scope. Interesting find! |
