Default Pye 4311 Caption Competition

Hi everyone.

I found this photo and the whole scene struck me as a little bit strange. Firstly the location of the TV relative to the furniture - The set is half-side-on and half-back-cover-on to the sofa so probably not the best viewing angle for the young-ish couple. The bloke looks like he's trying to change the channel with nothing on the screen, although the lack of picture isn't too surprising given that the set probably isn't even plugged in. In fact it looks as though the lead may have been cut off - possibly by the posh lady on the left with the slightly disingenuous look of concern on her face. Perhaps she is trying not to laugh. Then again they both might be too drunk to notice the TV is facing the wrong way or the mains lead has been vandalised. Perhaps the bloke cut the wire off in order to sabotage an evening of watching her favourite soap operas, the sooner to get down to some nookie.

Anyway, I thought it might be worthy of a caption (or a general observations) competition. No prizes I'm afraid except perhaps a photo of a Green Shield Stamp.

Thanks all.

Kind regards.

From Mike.

Just push any button and it'll get the same program. Can't figure out how to tune the damn thing.

Hello Mike,

Thanks for posting this. As you know, I have one of these sets but not the matching stand (however, I now know what it looks like).

Sadly, my set isn't in "showroom" condition and I don't think I have the necessary decor and furnishings in my house to be able to recreate the photo in the brochure!

Regards,
