AVO Test Bridge with EBF2 valve

picked this up at Kings Lynn radio rally at the weekend
most of the stuff including the restoration guide on this site and web seems to be for a latter version. Any one got a circuit for this earlier version looks as if its had work before there are 2 metal can wax caps in parallel and another black body one that has come a drift one end


Also the case has a hole in it at top in middle towards the back must be original as the in side has a masked square so I am guess a earth stud ??


any got any info on the stud and a early circuit cheers vince

Hi Vince,

I have one with an EBF2 in as well, good to see mine isn't unique. Does the CT8 valve base and bracket look factory to you? If you search back on Avo Test Bridge CT8 valve you'll find some photos of mine and further discussions.

yes all looks original valve wise but I think some off the wax caps have been replaced probably in the 60's
but now need doing again
1 has been replaced by 2 in parallel / 1 is a black hard cased and 3 look original

I suppose that due to wartime shortages AVO could have used whatever valves they could get at the time.

Mine has a brass binding post on the top. I've always wondered if it was original or added by a previous owner so you've settled that question for me.

Could you do me a picture of the binding post then I can see if I can find something close to fit to mine (better than a empty hole)
