Hello. New to this Forum. Need help with HMV2328
Hi, we bought a HMV 2328 which is a Gram-Tape-Radio player. Serial 6124. The Gramophone with a Garrard 3000 deck works fine. Trying to get the radio to work. It seems to amplify and I think it is just lacking an aerial. I have no paperwork for it, so not sure how the aerial was attached.
In the deck area there are 2 sockets. One labelled "Tape" with a 5 pin (female) I think DIN. One labelled "Radio". Hard to tell possibly looks like an old Female Jack socket. Any assistance on this appreciated. Thanks Richard |

Had one of these a while ago, FM radio only, there would be an internal aerial but I think with the wires brought out to a small 2 pin socket at the back so you could connect a better one.
You should get something with the internal aerial though, is it completely dead? try operating the radio switch a bit, the contacts get dirty. They do use a couple of AF116 Transistors though which are unreliable now. Steve. |

Having looked at the circuit diagram I can confirm that this set has an internal VHF/FM aerial with provision for an external VHF/FM aerial.
You'll probably find a two pin socket on the back of the unit somewhere with a flying lead from the internal aerial which plugs into it.
