Default 3x EL34 and a 6SN7GT.

Sorting through a box of junk I found these. One EL34 with the nice rolled metal base, two with the less-desirable Bakelite base, and a Brimar 6SN7GT.

The metal-base EL34 and one of the bakelite-based ones have some arcane sigils and glyphs either stamped into the metal or etched on the glass.

If you insist, I will try and decode these runes.

I guess these could be of interest to someone building a valve guitar-amp or modulator for an AM transmitter; they're not of interest to those of us who deal in RF amplification [where we we expect top-cap-anodes: I have a cache of 5B/255M and 6146B for such fun].

So, any budding guitar-amp types want to take them off my hands for £15 plus postage?

[If you do, please don't use them in 'ultra-linear' designs where they will never deliver their full capability].

Hi,
If they're still available, I'd love these for my next project! You may be aware I've been playing with a Laney 50W Protube Amp. I was thinking I'd like to have a go at building a pp EL34 amp to follow my 6V6 single ended amp!

If there's a hat going these would be just what I'm looking for for my guitar amplifier.

Many thanks, Sean.

Since there are numerous expressions of interest, I will keep the hat open until the weekend.

The Fickle Finger of Fate having been invoked, it dipped into the Full-Face Crash-Helmet-of-Chance and selected forum member

@Longespee

as the winner.

Message me with your address and I will bundle-up the valves and send them off to you. They should fit into Evri/Hermes's lowest-weight parcel class.

That's excellent news thank you, PM sent. Evri is probably best, one extra wrap of bubble perhaps.

Cheers, Sean.
