'Basket case' radio restorations to admire!
A chum who isn't on the forum sent me this link to some splendid Stateside 'basket case' restorations:

Now that is what I call restoration! American sets always look so much more interesting than our offerings.
Looking at the warm sheen finish on a lot of those I wonder whether Danish oil was used

Wow! Even I might have looked at some of those and said ‘not a chance!’ I am quite fond of taking on basket cases, I find them quite rewarding!
