Default Tektronix 7000 Knob Wanted

Hi All

Just moved the lab about and horror - The small light grey 'button' on one of my 'identify position' knobs on a Tek 7000 series plug-in is missing! It's the button you press to bring the trace to the screen centre - see pic.

Anyone have one?

Cheers
James

Let me have a look at one of my spares plugins. I'll let you know if one turns up.

Sorry - my main parts plug-in is missing that control entirely. I might have something in the attic - I'll check.

Hi Craig

Thanks for looking - if nothing turns up I suppose I can 3D print one! I suspect that 3D printing is going to feature more highly in projects now I have dipped my toe in!

Cheers

After a mega search I found this, see attached. Whilst not grey it came off a 5000 series rack mount scope.

It measures 10mm top dia, flares out a tad at base, 12mm deep, shaft is 3mm ish, secured by grub screw.

FOC, send me your address if any good, Andy.

Edit, don't think that'll do, found another one that's about half the size, shaft 1mm approx.

Hi Andy

Thanks for doing a big search, sadly the bit I need is the center part of the pic I showed. It's the bit that you press to find the trace so it is little more than a small cylinder with a rounded end!

Cheers

I have a huge box of Tek spares too - in which I know there is a zip lock bag of random knobs.

I need to rummage that out and see if I have a trace identify button.

Hi James, no worries, happy to help. I know the one you mean, I have a square one... typical,1000's of parts but not the right one. Hopefully someone will have one.

Andy.

Did you sort this James ?

I have a spare, it's ~ 7mm long X 6mm (dia, at base) with a 3mm hole (with 3x internal lugs)
