Teac 32-2B
I have a problem with the capstan motor regulator.
The capstan motor starts up very slowly, then speeds up a little, then slows down, then speeds up. I dont think it's the motor as I ran it from a bench supply and it's fine. It's not the transistors, I changed a couple of them. I'll change capacitors later but I dont think that's it. Has anyone else had this fault and how was it fixed. PS I can't buy a new board as there's none in the UK and I need it for next week. |

Re: Teac 32-2B
All sorted.
The problem was that 24V seemed to be going to the speed change switch and pinch control but nothing was coming back. It turned out that the connector to the servo PCB was the problem, the contacts inside it had broken. I fitted a new connector and it worked. |
