Default Electrolytic Can Capacitor Replacement Good Practice

I have searched around for information/photos of under the chassis electrolytic capacitor replacement but not found anything that I would be happy with.

Does anyone have a link to a website or pictures of how they have replaced axial and radial capacitors under the chassis.

Thank you.

If I am concerned about the aesthetic look of a replacement, my instinct is not to replace it, but to re stuff the original can.

What type and era of equipment do you have in mind?

Hiya, I wasn't thinking of removing the can but installing the capacitors under the chassis.

It is a Bush PB. 12.

Looks easy enough, plenty of room for modern 400v capacitors.
Use the tag board for the +ve side of the caps, (R23) and the -ve sides to a suitable earth point, perhaps the common on the original cap. Do disconnect both +ve connections on the original, it would indeed be bad practice not to do so.

Are you sure you don't want to re stuff the can, it's fun.

Thanks Graham, just the info I was looking for.

I have a few radios that I am working on, so maybe will try stuffing the can on my next one as keen to get this one up and running.
