Default Miniature Megger???

I found this during a clear out. No markings of any kind. Can someone tell me what it is?

Might it be something as simple as a retractable aerial for a MW/LW/SW radio set?

I have a Sony ICF7600 which came with an extendable aerial which looks really very similar.

If it were actually made by Megger, probably a wander lead for earth testing

The absence of through connector on the reel end suggests an aerial lead. I can't think of any other purpose for a coil of wire with a connector only on one end.
