Default Any working Philips N1700 VCR Recorder available in Australia?

Long shot I know, but anyone have a N1700 player?

I'm located in Melbourne.
I currently have an old N1700 VHS player but it appears to be faulty. Powers on and I see the clock flashing but when I put in a tape, it starts to play but stops suddenly.
Maybe needs new bands?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have a stash of about 19 LVC-150 and LVC-60 tapes that I want to convert to a portable hard drive.
