Amateur Radio magazine (Australian)
Amateur Radio magazine is the official journal of the national body here in Oz.
Here you can find all issues from 1933 up to 1995 (so far). http://www.armag.vk6uu.id.au/index.html Terry |

Thank you
From the little of things I have seen from your part of the world, there are often refreshing differences in approach. Last edited by ionburn; 5th Dec 2016 at 7:38 pm. Reason: Clarification |

Re: Amateur Radio magazine (Australian)
Thanks for those Terry. I remember reading in an Oz mag many years ago about a serviceman called to a job somewhere in the outback to repair a domestic receiver. When he took the back off the set he saw this horrible smelly, fly-blown mess attached to the aerial terminal. When he asked the owner what it was he was told that he'd noticed the set worked fine when he touched his finger to the aerial socket so he thought about that and reasoned that a sausage was the nearest equivalent he could get to a finger and so he'd stuck one of those into the socket! He said the set had worked fine after that for a while!

Hi Jim.
Sounds like one of the Servicemans stories from the old RTV & H (Radio TV & Hobbies) magazine. Probably have it around here somewhere. Terry |

Yes, that rings a bell Terry. I read it in PNG between 1976 and 79.
