Hi Paul, will the results of the auction be published?

Another question for those of us in the North; could we request Mike to bring specific unsold lots to the Golbourne meeting?

There were one or 2 items I was interested in, no idea of their value as I don't go to the auctions but quite prepared to pay a reasonable sum for them if unsold.

To continue the theme, and assuming Mike has the time and space available, could he act as FCS for items that we bid on to a specific location such as Golbourne.

It seems difficult now to use FCS for long hops Sth to Nth now that Grim Joseph is not making his regular journeys.

Yes, the results will be published on the website. We can normally do that within a couple of days now.

Mike normally goes to Golbourne and often takes a pile of sets to sell (which may include unsold auction lots), so I'm sure there would be no problem at all taking items sold on commission there too.

If you contact Mike to leave a commission bid he should be able to advise on the likely selling price range. You can also search auction results on the BVWS website for specific models etc which can give a useful indication of price ranges.

Ed,

I am quite happy to bring things from BVWS meetings up to Golborne.

I am always at the Golborne meetings and travel up in a van, so it usually not a problem.

Thank you to everyone who came and bid today.

It was a long but worthwhile day for us porters, and for Mike and some of the team it was a long afternoon and evening yesterday too, setting it all up.

The mirror lid TV (lot 330) which has a tested good CRT sold for around £8500 on commission.

Yes, a great day. Met the usual happy, chatty people, and & few purchases as well.

Thanks as always to those who help set up
& organise. Mike always thanks the porters and helpers, but here is thanks to HIM, for his effort! It is much appreciated by all who attend these meetings, I'm sure.

Absolutely, without Mike and the huge amount of time and effort he devotes to the society none of this would happen.

A really enjoyable and interesting day. Thanks to Mike and his team including those in the kitchen your efforts are really appreciated.
I came away with two small valve portable radios.
