Scottish Meet 2016
Hi Folks, Has anyone given any thought to holding a meet this year. I said at last years meet I wasn't doing one this year and felt someone else should have a go. I have done the last six meets and feel it's time for a change of venue. Please let's hear from someone willing to take this forward as it would be a shame for the meets to die out. Norman Raeburn

No one replying as yet?
I look forward to this annual wireless bash. Hope someone steps up to the plate. I would volunteer my huge garden but sadly parking outside our bungalow is very restricted as we are on a main road. Apart from that our garden and workshop would be plenty big enough. Paul. |

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
I would very much like to host the Scottish meet because I have loads of stuff to get rid of. I brought a lot of stuff home from my disbanded workshop at the University (perfectly legally and with permission) when I retired. I also inherited a lot of stuff from when my father (an engineer) died. Also, when my mother died, I cleared her house too and there was a lot of stuff still there from when I lived there.
Problem is, at my own house, the guy next door has gone a bit strange and objects to folk walking on his driveway which adjoins mine. Strange but true! My girlfriend has offered to host it at her house in Kilmarnock but I will need to confirm with her and then get the stuff over to her. What do you good folk think? TimR

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Hi Tim, I would be up for it, over on the VRAT forum I started the same thread and got nothing but excuses why folk couldn't do it. Mikeymushradio stepped in and is doing a meet near Newcastle which we are awaiting dates etc. I am sure folk would attend even if there are two meets. All the best, Norman

Hello Tim,
I'm afraid I'm one of those Norman was referring to on the other forum. I think I have been to most if not all the Scottish meets and I would like to come along to yours. Regards, Ken. |

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
I don't have the space, but I'd happily stump up if hiring a function room at a hotel or something like that would do.

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Hi Tim, any idea of a date yet?
If I can get away I'll probably come up with Fernseh. Ed |

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Depending on the date I would like to come to either Mike's or Tim's meet but probably not both.

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Nothing firmed up yet. I'm still staying at my caravan currently but it's looking like end of August/beginning of September.

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
I would potentially be interested - especially as Kilmarnock is somewhat nearer than the "Kingdom of Fife".

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Hi Tim, Have you made any decisions about a date for this, purely from my point the 27/28th August and 3/4th September are no use as I am on holiday. I hope to attend on any other weekends. All the best, Norman

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Hi folks
I was/am keen to host the Scottish meet. However......... Quite a lot of 'stuff' has come up and believe it or not the final stages of the winding up of my late mother's estate are still lingering on. I'm still not clear of the fallout from my early retirement and all the work associated with the death of my mother. I am getting there but still quite a few jobs in the pipeline. How does Spring 2017 sound to everyone? Tim

Re: Scottish Meet 2016
Hi,
Yes I would still be interested depending upon the date & month of the year. Sometimes "Spring", can be Winter's sting in the tail Paul. |
